Buffett Rule falls, progs keep recycling failed class warfare rhetoric
The Buffett Rule went down in flames in the Senate tonight as it failed to meet the 60-vote threshold needed to pass.
Twitter users, as usual, had plenty to say about Obama’s tax hike attempt. Most tweeps were pretty happy to hear about the failure and still think the Buffett Rule is a joke in more ways than one.
Obama's Buffett rule got blocked by the Senate today, thank goodness

Glad the Buffet Rule lost in the Senate. This was a joke! No one really believed it would work! (–_–)

Senate Republicans block the "Buffett Rule" that Obama and Dems are disingenuously suggesting would help the economy

Short title of the Buffett Rule: "A Bill to Reduce the Deficit." So there's a lie on page one.

President Obama doesn't abide by the Buffett Rule. Wonder how many Dem senators supporting it don't either.

My Buffett rule: no tax increases until everyone is as wealthy as Warren Buffett.

Buffet Rule fails! Dems vow to reintroduce bill that stops anyone from piling up MOUNTAINS of food on plate at an All-U-Can-Eat Buffet.

It's gonna be fun to hear Obama blame Republicans for the DEMOCRAT controlled Senate not passing the Buffett Rule

Progressive supporters of the Buffet Rule rinsed, repeated, and recycled the canard that the majority of Americans support the failed legislation.
Yup, @OrrinHatch only cares about his rich donors. He voted against the "Buffett Rule" that 70+% of Americans approve of.

@SenMarkPryor – You are going to be sorry that you voted against the Buffett Rule that over 70% of Americans support.

Republicans block "Buffett Rule" in Senate which 70% of Americans want passed. Good luck running on that.
