Camerman and Earth Uncut founder James Reynolds goes by the Twitter hashtag @typhoonfury, and that’s exactly what he managed to catch as Super Typhoon Haiyan/Yolanda slammed into the city of Tacloban in the Philippines. Along with the high winds and torrential rains, the footage shows some impromptu rescue efforts as victims are pulled to relative safety on anything that might float.

Reynolds returned to Tacloban with a backup camera to show just some of the devastation left by the typhoon.
