Dice game leads to violence at Tennessee State Univ.

One person was shot and killed and three women were wounded late last night after what’s being reported as an argument over a dice game on the campus of Tennessee State University in Nashville:

So, why were two individuals who were not students allowed on campus to throw dice? The three injured women are students, however, and were just passing by at the time:

At least one person died and three women were wounded in a shooting late Thursday on the campus of Tennessee State University, police said.

Metro Nashville Police spokesman Don Aaron said early Friday the 19-year-old man who died in the shooting was not enrolled at the school. It wasnt clear whether the shooter, who fled the scene, was a student, though WZTV reported police dont believe the alleged shooter was enrolled at the school.

Aaron said the shooting occurred in a courtyard around 10:50 p.m. Witnesses said an argument broke out over a dice game that initially led to a fistfight when suddenly shots broke out, he said.

Three female students, who were merely passing by, were struck during the shooting. One was grazed and didnt require any medical attention, while two others were taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with injuries.

School activities have been cancelled for the day:
