Obama makes yet another birth certificate joke; Media giggle, slam Romney

That’s right. President Obama made yet another birth certificate joke. In a bar, no less. No word yet if he was again daintily sipping a beer with pinkie lifted.

Obama at a sports bar to a little Hawaiian kid: "You were born in Hawaii? You have a birth certificate?"

Is birtherism the right thing to be teaching our children? Why does President Obama hate kids?

CBS’s Mark Knoller notes a double standard.

Imagine the uproar if Mitt Romney said that to a child from Hawaii. Romney drew fire last month for quipping about his birth certificate.

And, of course, the Left hates any kind of truth from a member of the media.

.@markknoller If can't see the difference between Obama and Romney joking re Hawai'ian birth certificate, it's time to get out of the game.

Shouldn’t Obama apologize for this racism aimed … at himself?

This iss appalling and shocking. A portrayal of Obama as The Other. Pure racism. An apology is required. Oh…wait. https://t.co/tcR1rhlc

Waiting on MSNBC to call Obama a racist for making birth certificate joke. #uppers

Surely the members of the media will be as outraged as they were when Romney made a birth certificate joke. Prep the fainting couches!

Oh, wait. That whole lapdog thing:

The Washington Post giggles at Obama’s joke. No pearl clutching, except for when they go back to re-pearl-clutch over Romney’s joke.

The remark was a dig at the birthers and, perhaps, at Republican nominee Mitt Romney, who was accused of embracing birtherism while making a joke about his own birth certificate at a campaign event in Michigan last month …

… The Romney campaign denied the remark was aimed at Obama.

In Orlando, Obama worked a room with more than 100 people, leading a round of “Happy Birthday” for a young girl. “How old are you?” He asks her. She held up three fingers. “Awesome!” Obama replied. No word if he asked for her birth record.

See, it’s hilarious when the one does it. They are even hoping for more!

CNN is even worse.

Bwahahahahaha RT @CNN: President Obama to young Hawaiian: you have a birth certificate? http://t.co/CI0Kl5DV

CNN spent paragraphs on how Obama is just so awesome because he is grinning in the face of nefarious birthers. They then ramble on about Donald Trump and how he has endorsed, and fund-raised for, Mitt Romney. The article then ends with swooning over The One’s amazing humor, after again pearl-clutching over Romney’s joke.

In an interview later that day, Romney said, “This was fun about us and coming home, and humor – you know, we’ve got to have a little humor in the campaign as well.”

Humor needs a punch line.

And Saturday in Florida, Obama was laughing.

This goes behind drool-bucket into hurl-bucket territory!

A The New York Times correspondent is ready to throw his briefs on stage for “President Henny Youngman.” No, really.

More from The New York Times:

Birthers, you’re not going to like this one …

“You were born in Hawaii?” Mr. Obama asked, then broke out into a smile. “You have a birth certificate?”

The table burst into laughter.

And Reuters.

Reuters calls it a “rare, light-hearted reference.”

The Hill gets in on the hypocritical action as well.

Obama was just poking fun, you see! They then, of course, also go on to slam Romney for the same kind of joke, even using sneer quotes around the word levity.

The GOP candidate said he was only trying to inject some “levity” into a long and contentious campaign, and had repeatedly said Obama was born in the U.S.

Absurd. Remember, the lapdogs shamelessly clutched their pearls when Romney joked about a birth certificate last month, all while ignoring the fact that President Obama not only jokes about it, but uses it as a way to hawk his wares. We know they are sycophants, but aren’t they embarrassed at the obvious double standard in just a few scant weeks?

Perhaps all the pom-pom waving is making them light-headed. Bless their hearts.
