Priorities: President Eye Candy to make sixth ‘Daily Show’ appearance
It sounded like a prank at the time — on the night of Sept. 11, as news emerged about the storming of the U.S. Embassy in Cairo and an assault on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya, word leaked that President Obama would appear the following week on “Late Show with David Letterman.” Certainly he’d cancel in light of the deaths in Libya, right?
Today, “The Daily Show” has announced that Obama will make his sixth appearance with Jon Stewart on Oct. 18. Yes, this Jon Stewart:

We can see the attraction. Will President Eye Candy bring a gift basket to his gracious host? Will Stewart lead with a question on BenghaziGate?
@weeklystandard Wow. Really dissappointing. This president want to be a celebrity, not a leader.

@weeklystandard Pretty soon he’s going to be a standard!

@weeklystandard But he doesn’t have time to meet BN of Israel.

@weeklystandard Maybe he can work there (Ed McMann) in January.

@weeklystandard “nero fiddled whle Rome burned’. What else is there 2 say.Obama more comfortable w/his imaginary celebrity than w/reality.

Obama: national security issues keep me on a need to know basis but when Jon Stewart calls to have me on the daily show, patch me in.

I hear Obama’s going to be on The Daily Show. I wonder what foreign leader he had to blow off to book that gig.

Hey, he doesn’t just blow off foreign leaders. Even the U.S. press is begging for some quality Obama time.
Obama holds record for ignoring WH Press, but he’ll be on the Daily Show again on Oct 18 – bit.ly/TmmRPB
