Many were infuriated that President Obama issued a statement on the death of Robin Williams just hours after news broke of the actor’s death, and yet stayed silent on the death of Missouri teen Michael Brown. It took a bit longer, but the president did release a statement on the passing of Michael Brown Tuesday afternoon.

Many praised the Robin Williams statement, but reaction to the Michael Brown statement was more reserved.
